The Isle of Wight is very proud of its horticultural routes and holds a farmers market every Friday. If you want to purchase quality produce that has been grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked or otherwise processed by the local stallholder, Island Farmers’ Markets are the places to go. Local farmers and producers come together on the Isle of Wight to sell their produce directly to the public every Friday in St Thomas’ Square, Newport between 9am and 2pm.

If you would rather buy at your leisure you can find Farmer Jacks Farm Shop in Arreton, the shop offers local seasonal and fresh produce directly from island farmers. Open 10am-6pm 7 days a week. Or you could take a trip to Godshill Organics which sells fresh organic produce, such as groceries, wines, beers and meat.

Niton's local shop, Norris supports local farmers and businesses, selling a lot of island produce including Calbourne Classics, who are famous on the Island for their clotted cream, clotted cream ice creams, luxury cheesecakes, farmhouse cakes and tray bakes.

The Island Cheese Company is an innovative family run business producing fine, hand crafted, quality cheeses and butter using unpasteurised milk from the Queen Bower Channel Island herd.

You could always wake up to a nice hearty local breakfast with Isle of Wight Bacon, producers of free range pork, born and bred outside. Enjoy sausages, ham and bacon. This company also offers a free island-wide delivery service.
