A little history...

Est. 2008

During 2006 work began on converting the disused milking parlours , machine sheds and storage barns into holiday accommodation. Very early on in the project it was decided to recycle as much of the original materials as possible retaining the character of the buildings dating back to the 16th century.

As the project progressed it became apparent that not only could we keep the original materials, we could also add some quality finishing touches whilst not compromising the look and feel of old buildings.

Installing eco friendly systems to generate heat and hot water and reducing carbon omissions, drought tolerant planting schemes and recycling led to us being awarded a “Green Island Award” in 2008.

Many of us now have gadgets to keep in touch with work, family and friends and things change almost every day. When we chose the finishing touches we were very conscious of peoples lifestyles and added the most up to date equipment we could, this included free internet access in each barn, the latest flat screen televisions in all rooms, low voltage mood lighting and kitchens full of appliances to take the “work out of holidaying”

After a successful year of trading we decided to embark on converting the last of the original barns and work started in 2009, our “Worsley” & “Yarborough” barns were added to our portfolio in little under five months bringing the project to a completion.

Much of the work undertaken during the extensive conversion was achieved using local tradesmen and experts and wherever possible all materials, fixtures and fittings were sourced on the Island making this a truly “local” project.
